First healthcare organization in LA County receives designation
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, September 25, 2007
Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA, was recently awarded ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® status. The 254-bed facility is the first community organization in Los Angeles County to receive designation and the 11th in California. According to Kerry Carmody, administrator, receiving designation will help Providence Holy Cross recruit and retain well-qualified nurses who want to care for patients in an environment that promotes excellence and rewards staff nurses for providing high-quality patient care.
