Sourcing positive relationships between nurses and other departments
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, August 7, 2007
When writing sources of evidence for the written documentation on Force of Magnetism 12: Image of nursing, provide examples of the good relationships between nursing and other departments. Examples of ways to exhibit these positive relationships between nurses and staff from all disciplines include the following:
- Providing evidence of 360-degree peer reviews from nonnursing personnel for nurses
- Using digital photos of interdisciplinary events depicting nurses alongside other employees
- Illustrating nurses receiving awards from an interdisciplinary arena
- Providing examples of interdisciplinary staff attendance at nursing functions
- Providing short narratives from a variety of nonnursing staff describing how they view nurses
