Nurse development news room
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, August 7, 2007
Children's Medical Center in Dallas, TX, which is currently in the process of applying for ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® (MRP) designation, has set aside two rooms in the hospital "that house all the info nurses need to develop into the nurses they want to be," says Victoria England, RN, MBA, MRP director. The two news rooms are places where nurses can go to find all the latest information on nursing certifications, read evidence-based practice articles and articles from the nursing journal club, access computers, use supplies to create posters on the 14 Forces of Magnetism, and much more. The news rooms will also be used next month as gathering points for staff to meet to write the final documentation for the application for designation.
