Asking the right questions
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, July 10, 2007
When conducting nursing research, asking the right questions is important to clinical practice and patient outcomes. Research questions can derive from personal clinical experience, organizational data, or the professional literature. Possible nursing research questions include the following:
- Is there a better way to handle a patient care issue?
- Will the proposed new equipment/technology be more effective?
- Will this new education program for patients increase their satisfaction?
