It's showtime!
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, June 19, 2007
Creating a talent show is a great way for staff nurses to showcase what they do best, and it's a fun learning experience to present what achieving ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® (MRP) designation means to them. Whether you form different teams of three or four employees within a department or create a larger, organizationwide show, staff will have a chance to be creative and learn at the same time--and be entertained. And you can even make the show a competition by having a panel of department managers judge the event and award a prize to the most talented team. Allow staff to choose their own talents, but you can suggest the following ideas:
- Perform an MRP site-visit skit
- Write (and sing) an MRP song
- Design an educational brochure, poster, or newsletter
- Write a speech about the 14 Forces of Magnetism
- Record a video detailing the journey toward designation
