A luncheon later this month will help raise money for a nursing program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Proceeds from the luncheon, which takes place April 26 in Little Rock, AK, will fund eight-week geriatric nursing externships awarded by the Arkansas Hartford Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence at UAMS.
The externships will be offered during the summer between a student's junior and senior year. Participating students will gain experience working with nurse leaders, educators, and researchers as they explore options within geriatric nursing.
