The Idaho Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee recently approved budget increases to bolster nursing education statewide.
Under the proposed 2008 fiscal year budget, four-year colleges and universities would receive $264.2 million, making an 8.4% increase over 2007 funding. Community colleges would receive $1.52 million, a 6.9% increase.
Together, the bills would increase enrollment in Idaho nursing schools by roughly 200 students.
