Two North Carolina facilities earn designation
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, March 6, 2007
February was a noteworthy month for North Carolina hospitals as two facilities achieved ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® designation. One was Gaston Memorial Hospital of Gastonia, NC, a 435-bed hospital that is the anchor for CaroMont Health, an independent, not-for-profit healthcare system. The organization has more than 900 registered nurses.
The other facility to achieve designation was Lake Norman Regional Medical Center of Mooresville, NC. Lake Norman Regional began the application process two years ago, and had a two-day site visit in which appraisers interviewed members of the medical staff and community.
