Savannah facility earns top performer status
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, February 6, 2007
St. Joseph's/Candler of Savannah, GA, an ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®-designated facility since 2002, has been named one of the top performers in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)/Premier Inc. pay-for-performance project. The project rewards hospitals for delivering higher-quality care in five clinical areas. St. Joseph's/Candler is to receive a bonus payment of more than $96,000 from CMS due to its overall quality score in the area of congestive heart failure. The pay-for-performance project has seen CMS award incentive payments of $8.7 million to 115 top performing hospitals.
