Simply put, it's a very aggressive recruitment campaign.

This January, Kingston General Hospital in Ontario, is kicking off "100 Nurses in 100 Days," where it hopes to hire 100 new nurses in 100 days. To elicit help from current employees, the hospital is offering staff members $500 for each successful recruit they bring in.

The hospital estimates it will need 250 new nurses over the next five years to fill the growing shortage in the area.
