Illinois facility receives donation
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, January 9, 2007
A donation to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, located in Rockford, IL, and an ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®-designated facility since 2005, has allowed the facility to purchase a Baby Therm Infant Warmer and new bone densitometry equipment. The Baby Therm Infant Warmer provides newborn babies with a thermal environment regardless of where the baby is placed in the warmer. The bone equipment will be used by the OSF Saint Anthony Women's Center. The $205,000 donation was made by the OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center Auxilary, and was donated to the OSF Saint Anthony Foundation. The donation included proceeds from the Annual Pink Ball, "Above and Beyond," which is a black tie gala. Portions of the donation were also raised by sales from the gift shop and canteen.
