With private rooms and new technology, the new Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, NE, will promote patient-centered care. With fireplaces and small waterfalls, it will promote serenity, as well.

The soothing 100-bed facility will promote patient-centered care, and seek to cut down on infections, falls, and errors in drug administration.

The center, which has been designed by architects and a board that includes physicians, will open next fall. The cost is $90 million.
