Third redesignation for a Florida facility

Baptist Hospital of Miami has recently been redesignated with ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® status. In 1998, Baptist Hospital was the first facility in Florida and the eleventh facility nationwide to achieve designation. The hospital is currently undergoing a $122 million expansion and renovation project that includes a 65,000-square-foot emergency center, a 120,000-square-foot tower that adds 96 beds, shell space to accommodate an additional 48 beds for expansion in the future, and a seven-story parking garage.
