Illinois medical center achieves designation
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, November 28, 2006
Memorial Medical Center of Springfield, IL, has become the state's thirteenth organization to achieve ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® status. The medical center, which employs more than 900 nurses, has undergone a four-year application process. Last year, the medical center cared for nearly 23,000 inpatients and recorded more than 418,000 outpatient visits. Memorial Medical Center is a not-for-profit, acute care community-based hospital and is part of the Memorial Health System.
