About 30 years ago, a high school boyfriend was stolen. Now, the unrequited love may be the cause behind a bizarre case of a nurse poisoning one of her patients.
Sally Jordan Hill, 50, a nurse anesthetist, was recently placed in a Charlotte, NC, jail on first-degree murder charges. Experts in the case believe Hill injected Sandra Baker Joyner with a powerful pain killer-fentanyl. Joyner and Hill went to high school together, a fact that came out when Joyner first went to the plastic surgery office in 1999. During high school, about 30 years ago, it is believed Joyner stole Hill's boyfriend.
Hill, who was blamed for the death by the medical board, lost her license in 2003. At that time, a malpractice case was settled outside of court.
