Sutter Amador Hospital in Jackson, CA, recently launched The Patient Channel, a 24/7 patient education broadcast at its facility.

The goal of the channel, which includes programming on diseases, patient safety, and nutrition, is to educate families and patients using a medium they are used to seeing. It will also seek to increase awareness and help patients feel empowered to make informed decisions.

Content for the channel, which is distributed by GE Healthcare, is updated by advisory boards who are experts in fields including patient safety and ethics.
