TX-based children's hospital earns recognition
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, October 10, 2006
Cook Children's Medical Center of Fort Worth, TX, earned ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® status late last month, making it the 11th free-standing children's hospital in the nation and the 15th organization in Texas to have earned designation. Cook Children's said that a celebration was held immediately after receiving the call that contained the official announcement of the designation. A cancer survivor who is a patient at the hospital presented Paula Webb, RN, MSN, CNAA,BC, CNO with the official designation pin. Retired Cook Children's nurses pinned the current nursing staff.
