Seventh designated facility emerges in VA
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, August 22, 2006
The University of Virginia (UVa) Medical Center of Charlottesville, VA, has achieved ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® designation, making it the seventh healthcare organization in Virginia to have obtained the status. The UVa Medical Center submitted its 1,900-page documentation in March, and had a four-day appraiser site visit in late June. The UVa Medical Center employs about 1,800 nurses.
