Promote designation with organizationwide newsletters
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, July 18, 2006
When looking to spread the word about your ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® journey, staff newsletters are an excellent vehicle for disseminating the message. Many organizations already have a selection of newsletters for communicating important information across all shifts. Ask for space in these publications, create inserts for the existing newsletters, or create a new publication focused specifically on designation topics.
If you create a newsletter, make it attractive to encourage readership. You also could use the newsletter as a vehicle for a contest to encourage readership. Publish questions with a mechanism to collect submissions, and put all correct answers into a drawing.
