RWJUH is country's fourth hospital to earn designation three times

HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, February 21, 2006

Earlier this month, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) in New Brunswick, NJ, announced that it achieved ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® status in nursing excellence for the third time since 1997. The organization is only the fourth in the country to have achieved this honor three times. According to a hospital official, RWJUH underwent an intensive evaluation of procedures, standards, and patient outcomes data as well as an onsite visit. Designation reinforces RWJUH's reputation for quality healthcare, according to the official. For instance, results of a Press Ganey survey ranked RWJUH's nursing care among the top 2% in the nation during the fourth quarter of 2005. RWJUH is an academic health center in the Robert Wood Johnson Health System and Network.
