Texas-based hospital reveals new community gift

HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, December 6, 2005

Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital plans to unveil a dedicated heart hospital in Tarrant County later this week. The new Harris Methodist Heart Center (HMHC) will provide a full array of heart care services with state-of-the-art technology, such as a wireless x-ray unit, and a nationally recognized cardiovascular medical team. Advances in cardiovascular medicine and the growing and aging population of Tarrant County created the demand for expanded heart care services. One hundred new patient beds will be dedicated solely to those in need of cardiac care. Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital earned ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® designation in February 2004. According to hospital officials, the renowned members of the interdisciplinary cardiovascular team are the key to the evidence-based, compassionate, quality care that patients will receive.
