A hint for writer's block
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, November 29, 2005
When it comes to writing your documents for ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® designation, it's possible to feel tapped for creativity on some days. To keep the inspiration flowing, remind yourself that the written narratives should tell your story, says Barbara Wadsworth, RN, MSN, MBA, CNAA,BC, interim vice president, patient services, Abington (PA) Memorial Hospital: "I encourage you to listen to personal stories from your nursing staff, patients, physicians, and the community," says Wadsworth. "Use their feedback to create a warm and honest sense of quality in your documents."
