Stamford (CT) Hospital is first in county, third in state to earn designation
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, November 8, 2005
Stamford Hospital in Connecticut is now the first hospital in Fairfield County, and the third in the state, to earn ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® designation. After a two-year process, administrators at Stamford Hospital learned in August that they had achieved nursing's gold seal of approval. Last month, nurses were honored for their achievement with a pinning ceremony. Staff nurses and nurse leaders say the designation is a way to demonstrate to patients the quality care they deliver, as well as attract new nurses to their team.
