Medical assistant is one of the fastest growing occupations in the healthcare industry. To address the demand, the Coyne American Institute in Chicago, IL, one of the nation's oldest career and technical schools, will begin offering a Medical Assistant Program this October.

Courses in the program include Medical Terminology, Medical Office Administration, Basic Insurance and Coding, Pharmacology, and Clinical Medial Terminology. There will also be an externship component of the program where students will gain real world experience working in physicians' offices, clinics, hospitals and outpatient centers.
