A customized approach to site-visit preparation
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, August 16, 2005
As Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, PA, neared its anticipated site visit, members of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® staff advisory team bought chocolate bars with a special message, says Barbara Wadsworth, RN, MSN, MBA, CNAA,BC, administrative nurse director at the organization. They had the labels customized to read: "Our survey is next week!" Team members distributed them to all areas of the hospital. The candy bars not only grabbed everyone's attention, but they served as a sweet reminder of the upcoming event.
