Keep time on your side: Writing the application
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, May 24, 2005
Facilities who have pursued designation say that writing the documentation takes longer than most anticipate. Anne Jadwin, RN, MSN, AOCN, CNA says to build at least six months into a timeline for writing the application. Also, allow more time to write each narrative under the individual Forces of Magnetism. She says that it's not realistic to complete more than two narratives in one day.
