Determine how nurses view designation
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, July 26, 2005
Medical City Hospital in Dallas wants to ensure that they sustain the culture of excellence that their ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® status symbolizes, so administrators survey nursing staff regularly to gauge employee pride. Each month, the CNO gathers a group for lunch and discusses their status and the nursing care that the hospital provides. In addition, Cole Edmonson, MS, RN, CHE, CNAA,BC, associate administrator, patient care services, meets monthly with a group of 36 staff nurses to give them an opportunity to express their concerns and provide suggestions for improvements.
