Organizational structure: A blueprint for success
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, August 9, 2005
To comply with Force 2--organizational structure, facilities must demonstrate that executive nursing leaders, such as the CNO/CNE, serve at the executive level of the organization. Organizations need to provide narratives and supportive evidence to illustrate the CNO's position, influence on, and relationship to organizational leaders. Barbara Hannon, RN, MSN, ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® coordinator at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, included a floor plan of the executive offices in her documentation under this Force to show her CNO's physical presence among organizational leadership.
