Be aware of time constraints
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, May 3, 2005
If you're pursuing ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® status or exploring the possibility, be sure you allow enough time to approve the final application. Final approval and editing of the documentation may take longer than you anticipate. To avoid setbacks-even minor delays-it's critical to know who needs to sign off on the materials before they leave the hospital (e.g., legal staff and nursing leadership). Be sure to give these administrators ample time to review and approve the documents.
