Enhanced Capital Partners, a national investment firm specializing in state-specific investments, provided Stat Nurses International, a leading travel nurse agency, $1.2 million in funds. Stat Nurses will use the money to expand and train their pool of traveling staff members who fulfill hospital needs in light of the current nursing shortage. In addition to increasing their national database, Stat Nurses also plans to recruit international nurses and train them to US standards. The company offers employment options including short- and long-term work assignments, competitive wages, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement. A 2002 American Medical Association (AMA) study found that nurses are more likely to experience fatigue and job dissatisfaction in facilities with low nurse-to-patient ratios. Stat Nurses aims to help hospitals reduce burnout and maintain quality patient care by filling their staffing gaps with licensed, experienced nurses.
