When conducting ECG rhythm recognition training, what do you use to simulate rhythms? A variety of methods can get the job done-from overheads to PowerPoints-but they can be time-consuming to create and the rhythms might not always display clearly. SkillStat Learning Inc. offers a popular tool for this important training with "The Six Second ECG" cardiac rhythm simulator. This free demo generates 26 of the most common rhythms, including sinus rhythm, atrial tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation (VFib), and ventricular tachycardia (VTach). Each rhythm has a description and the site also offers games to challenge learners on their ECG rhythm knowledge. Try displaying this tool on a screen during classroom training by connecting a projector to a computer.
