News spotlight: Survey shows majority of hospitals happy with patient safety initiatives

A survey by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) found that 75% of hospitals surveyed were satisfied with their patient safety initiatives.
The survey said 29% of hospitals gave a self-rating of "A-Excellent" and 46% a self-rating of "B-Very Good" on the quality of the initiative. The survey also found 80% of hospitals gave positive ratings for "teamwork within units," while only 44% of staff reported their errors were not held against them.
