News spotlight: HealthGrades' 50 top cities for hospital care

Rating organization HealthGrades has announced its first-ever list of America’s Top 50 Cities for Hospital Care. The rankings are based on a study of patient death and complication rates at the nearly 5,000 hospitals in the nation.
West Palm Beach, FL, ranked number one, followed by Brownsville, TX, and Dayton, OH. The cities on the list have the highest concentration of hospitals performed in the top 5% nationwide across 26 different medical procedures and diagnoses. The cities were then ranked by highest percentage of these Distinguished Hospitals for Clinical Excellence™.
