In the news: Vermont hospital becomes third-time designee
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, November 1, 2010
Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) of Bennington, VT, was re-designated under the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program ® (MRP), becoming one of just 30 hospitals in the world to be designated three times. SVMC is just one of three New England hospitals to achieve this designation three times.
SVMC was originally designated in 2002 and again in 2006.
“Earning the designation again truly is a testament to SVMC’s serious commitment to high quality care that is also compassionate and individualized,” said Carol Conroy, SVMC’s chief nursing officer and vice president of operations, in an official statement.
