The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) has launched Wisdom at Work: Retaining Experienced Nurses, a nationwide program to build an evidence base for what works to retain experienced nurses in hospital settings and to gain a better understanding of the impact of existing interventions on the work environment for older nurses.
The evaluation team conducted case studies of four top performing healthcare organizations, and three top performing non-healthcare organizations to identify proven and innovative worker retention strategies, and found that no single intervention alone successfully retains experienced nurses.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is seeking comments on what interventions have worked best for your organization. Visit the RWJF website to read more and leave your comments.
