The growing dispute over whether Facebook has a positive or negative effect on our lives is magnified when it enters the workplace.
Nurses at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Michigan are in the spotlight after an inappropriate photo popped up on Facebook.
Fierce Healthcare reported that Cathy Miller had a fellow nurse remove a splinter from her in an empty operating room, while a coworker snapped photos, later posting them on Facebook.
Miller was accused by managers of violating hospital policies pertaining to health and safety, inappropriate use of equipment, and privacy issues.
