ANCC Magnet Recognition Program (MRP) ® program directors, coordinators, or managers are key during any organization’s initial application or redesignatino process. Though the responsibilities of these leaders vary from organization to organization, they are critical attaining and maintaining recognition.
When Julie Sorg, MSN, RN, and Carolyn Borne, MN, RN, co-MRP directors of the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, received word that their application for redesignation had been accepted, they were pleased—but also knew they had to prepare the facility for the upcoming site visit to validate the application.
