In the know: Identify your instructor's style
Stressed Out Nurses Weekly, July 12, 2010
Identifying your instructors' personal teaching styles goes a long way toward succeeding in class. If you understand how they work, you will be better prepared for types of exams they will give and what they expect from you in class.
Listen very carefully during the first class meeting, paying close attention to body language. Are they approachable? Authoritarian? Dramatic? Closed off? How do they interact with students?
The more you know about your instructors' personal preferences, the better insight you have into their expectations of you.
