In the news: Joint Commission announces plans to focus on National Nurses Week
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, April 19, 2010
National Nurses Week is approaching fast, and The Joint Commission has set up several programs to help make the most of it. National Nurses Week takes place May 6-12.
This year, the national accrediting organization will use Facebook as a jumping off point to start discussions with nurses across the country. Plans include a podcast by Ann Scott Blouin, PhD, RN, executive vice president of the division of accreditation and certification operations. The Joint Commission is also asking nurses to share their experiences through Facebook about what makes their career most rewarding.
