In our fast-paced environments, we often ask, “How can I extend my influence? And how can I have a greater affect on our outcomes?” There are no simple answers to these questions. A recommendation may be embraced by one colleague, yet not by another. Control is limited. Authority is overemphasized. The essential element is our influence, and our influence is determined by our credibility.
