In the news: Becker?s Hospital Review names top 10 hospitals

Becker’s Hospital Review magazine announced its 10 best hospitals in America list for 2009 this week, and it may come as no surprise to other who have undergone the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® (MRP) process that seven out of 10 hospitals are current or previous recipients of MRP status.
The top 10 hospitals named by Becker’s are:
- Duke University Hospital (Durham, NC)
- Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore, MD)
- Lehigh Valley Hospital (Allentown, PA)
- Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, MA)
- Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN)
- NYU Langone Medical Center (New York, NY)
- Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (Los Angeles, CA)
- University Medical Center (Tucson, AZ)
- University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers (Ann Arbor, MI)
- Vanderbilt University Medical Center (Nashville, TN)
