Inside the news: Artificial intelligence will manage patient flow
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, October 20, 2009
Medical City Dallas Hospital will shortly begin using a new technology designed to improve operational efficiency.
The On-Cue® Patient Management Software System uses artificial intelligence technology to create constantly-updated daily itineraries for patients. The software sends updates to caregivers when changes occur in the itinerary and can be viewed by every department in the hospital. The software is likened to an air traffic control system that will keep patient activity on track across all departments.
Medical City Dallas was designated as an ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® recipient in 2003.
