Inside the news: Nursing excellence continues down under
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, September 8, 2009
A second hospital in Australia has received ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® (MRP) designation.
Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Nedlands, Western Australia, received designation in April, joining Queensland's Princess Alexandra Hospital in the field of nursing excellence. Princess Alexandra became Australia's first MRP hospital in 2005.
The growing international cadre of MRP-designated facilities also includes a hospital in New Zealand and one in Beirut, Lebanon.
