Quick questions for staff nurses: Discuss nurse leaders’ role in a designated organization

One of the scariest aspects of a site visit for staff nurses is the prospect that appraisers will ask them a question they can't answer. Help nurses over their fears by practicing responses to a variety of questions about the journey and what designation means to them. This will help them feel more confident that they can answer any question posed on the real site visit.
Practice question: What is the role of the CNO and nurse leaders at all levels of the organization in a designated organization?
Hint: Nursing leaders must be visionary and communicate a strategic plan that supports the practice of professional nursing.
