Orientation excellence: Anticipating new employees’ needs from day one

How can new employees successfully orient into such a complex, integrated process? Two key markers for excellence are compassion and simplicity. Keep the orientation simple, interesting, fun, painless, and organized. Provide new employees with orientation schedules, forms, answers to FAQs, maps, and contact information for key people they will be working with in their first few weeks.
