In addition to providing continuing education, this year’s convention was also a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the founding of NNSDO. The organization’s original charter was signed in Philadelphia in 1989, so it seemed fitting that this historic milestone take place in the same city of brotherly love.
A wide variety of continuing education topics were presented. However, several important themes, including orientation, competency, preceptors, and teaching strategies dominated the conversation.
