News brief: New York hospital honors its nurses
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, August 4, 2009
Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, located in West Islip, NY, recently held an award ceremony to honor 11 members of its nursing staff for their outstanding contributions to the hospital.
Good Samaritan was named an ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® recipient in 2006 and honors its nursing stars during an Outstanding Nursing Excellence Awards luncheon each year.
The eleven nurses were chosen for their contributions to the field of nursing and their performance beyond expectations.
