Stressed Out Nurses Weekly, July 20, 2009
A recent study published by the Journal of the Medical Library Association found that both medical and nursing schools are incorporating social networking tools, including blogs, podcasts, and wikis, into their curricula, reports the Healthcare IT News. The study showed that 53% of nursing schools use Web 2.0 tools, and that 58% plan to incorporate such tools within the next year.
Most popular Web tools for nursing schools include podcasts and academic podcasts, followed by videocasts. According to the study, which included 55 respondents, 55% of medical school students use the tools personally, while only 37% of nursing students did.
