This week, Suzanne C. Beyea, RN, PhD, FAAN and Mary Jo Slattery, RN, MS, share seven evidence-based practice (EBP) Web sites for staff to explore.
Q: Do you know of any EBP Web sites that I can direct our staff nurses to?
A: Internet access within the hospital makes literature searches easier for staff nurses when they are conducting research projects. The Internet can be used to find articles and EBP information. The following are seven Web sites staff nurses should explore when conducting literature searches:
- Cumulative index to nursing and allied health literature
- PubMed
- Cochrane Database of Systematic Review
- Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality
- Evidence-Based Nursing
- National Library of Medicine
- National Guideline Clearinghouse
