Is it OK for me to photocopy a journal article and distribute it to class participants? Can I play music from a CD as an introduction to my presentation? If something is on the Internet, it?s OK to use it, isn?t it? Have you ever asked these questions? Have you ever heard other staff development specialists ask these or similar questions? Questions and concerns about copyright are nothing new. Educators in all practice settings want quick, succinct answers when it comes to copyright. Unfortunately, there is nothing quick, or particularly succinct, when it comes to addressing such issues.
